NORTH INDIAN SPECIAL MAVA MALKOVA

Hi everyone.Happy Tamil New Year.in Tamil it is called Puthandu.Tamil people celebrate Tamil new year on 14 April. This is the month of Chitterai, the first month of the Tamil solar calendar. On the eve of Puthandu, a tray arranged with three fruits (mango,banana and jack fruit), betel leaves and arecanut, gold/silver jewellery, coins/money, flowers and a mirror is placed.On this special day I want to teach you a sweet item called Mava Malkova.It's origin is from North India but it is commonly prepared in many parts of South India too.
INGREDIENTS
                               Maida-1cup
                               sugar-1 ½ cup
S                                   Kova-1 cup
                                     Milk-1cup
                                     Elachi powder
                                     Badam

PROCESS
·         Take maida,elachi.milk and kova in a mixer jar and grind well
·         The batter must be like the one prepared for jilabi
·         The batter must not be too much liquid
·         Take sugar in a pan and add water
·         The consistency must be like jamun sheera
·         Take a wide open pan and put oil into it
·         Take a medium sized deep spoon and take the batter into it
·         Slowly leave the batter into the pan in medium flame
·         The malkova must be fried until it changes to brown colour
·         The malkova can now be dipped in sugar syrup

·         Slowly transfer them into a plate and garnish with chopped badam
