Karnataka special BISI BELEBATH

Karnataka is very famous for it's breakfasts.Many varieties of breakfasts are prepared.And one best among them is BISIBELEBATH.In Kannada,BISI means hot,BELE means dal.So,it's obvious that bisibelebath is made with dal.Let me tell you the ingredients first.
Preparation time-15 min
Serves-3-4
INGREDIENTS
Rice-1 cup
Toor dal-1 cup
Tomatoes-2
Onion-1
Salt
 Tamarind
Curry leaves
CAshew nuts
Asafoetida
Mustard
Ghee
Carrot(optional)
Peas(optional)
Beans
Oil
Dry chilli
Bisi belebath powdeR
 Process
1.In a cooker,add rice,dal,onion pieces,tomato pieces,carrot,peas,beans,water 3.5 cups.
2.Boil it until we get 1 whistle
3.In the  same cooker,now add bisibelebath powder,water(1-1.5 cup),tamarind juice and boil for 5 min
4.In a other pan fry Curry leaves,CAshew nuts,Asafoetida,Mustard,dry chilli
5.Add this to the cooker and off the stove.
              Take bisibelebath into a plate and from the top add kara boondi or chips.
