Sankranthi special PONGAL

HAPPY MAKARA SANKRANTHI.Today is a  very special festival.And everyone prepare Sankranthi special PONGAL sweet.So today I'll tell you how to prepare it.This dish is favourite one for my son.




Let us see the ingredients first
Moong Dal-1/4 cup
Jaggery-2 cups
ghee
cashew nuts
kismis
Rice-1 cup
Water
Milk 1/2 cup(optional)
Coconut(optional)
Preparation Steps
Lightliy fry the moongdal in a pan with some ghee.Now put this moong dal and rice
into a cooker and add 3 cups of water.Allow it to boil until you get 3 whistles.
In another pan take jaggery and add some water.Boil it until the jaggery melts.
Mix this jaggery to the rice and moong dal.For additional taste we can add 1/2 cup milk.
Add coconut pieces to it.Now we can fry cashews and kismis in ghee 
and add it to the mixture.

Tasty tasty Sankranthi special PONGAL is ready to serve.
